The paprika is the product resulting from grinding red peppers of Ocales, Jaranda, Jariza, Jeromín, and varieties Ball.It is grown and made in the region of La Vera,Cáceres province,Spain.The paprika de la Vera is a product with a smoky flavor and aroma due to the smoke drying process of the peppers.Its coloration is red with relative brightness.It has a great coloring power, greater in the Ocales variety than in the Bola variety.The flavor, aroma and color are stable given the slow dehydration process used in its preparation.Due to its flavor, three types of paprika from La Vera are distinguished.

Bittersweet: made with the Jaranda and Jariza varieties
